Having made the move from W7 to W11, I need to move from Sidebar to Rainmeter 'cos my faves don't work any more!
Getting there slowly - guess I'll have to learn HTML and JS to port a gadget or 2...

You might want to check out Vista Rainbar: https://www.deviantart.com/poiru/art/Vista-Rainbar-4-6-0-3-156603886. It's a near pixel-perfect port of all of the standard Vista sidebar gadgets. I'm pretty sure the weather gadget is broken (anything more than a year old is almost guaranteed broken), but the rest should work. Even if these aren't what you are looking for, they are a great tutorial on how to convert an old gadget to a Rainmeter skin.
