Yep, especially when looking at a light mode for the first time. There's also the possibility of adjusting brightness, but that just turns a light theme into washed out visuals. The only slight issue with dark mode can be that in some cases a few things are more obvious on a light theme (this obviously depends on whether the app / site is properly suited for dark mode too).
I'm not that passionate on phones to pay more than the minimum needed for one, I'm not trying to turn my phone into a computer. My old smartphone was free ($0), and my new one was around $110. On the other hand, I'm much more inclined to pay a sufficient amount for a good laptop, but even there, I'm not wasting too much money for a momentary whim. I like efficiency in everything, it's a "built-in" feature for me, lol.
Yup, nothing like a true dark mode. I found an app that does the job tho (chrome didn't). It's free for 3 months and apparently it should let me use it on 5 websites for free after the trial ends. We'll see.

Meh I like my phones to not turn to garbage too soon (my experience for years with android). I have the 12 and it's still working perfectly fine. I only replace my phones when they stop working (or get them stolen like my previous one lol).
